Privacy Policy
TiffTodo is a private capture app. It helps you capture thoughts by voice or text, split them into todo items, organize them into lists, and add useful research or timing context when it helps. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
TiffTodo may collect:
- Your email address, used to create and manage your account.
- Voice transcripts or typed captures that you choose to submit.
- Todo items, categories, research summaries, source links, reminder suggestions, and completion state.
- Your device push notification token, if you enable notifications.
- Basic technical information needed to operate the app, protect accounts, and troubleshoot issues.
TiffTodo does not collect data for third-party advertising and does not sell your personal information.
How we use information
- Create and authenticate your account.
- Store your todo items and categories.
- Process captures into organized todos.
- Add concise research summaries and source links when an item needs context.
- Preserve timing intent for appointments, deadlines, and reminders.
- Send a notification when processing finishes after you leave the app, if notifications are enabled.
- Provide support and maintain the app.
AI processing
When you submit a capture, the text may be sent to TiffTodo's backend and processed by Anthropic so the app can split it into todo items, choose categories, identify timing, and add research context where helpful. Audio is transcribed on your device; we do not store or upload the audio itself.
Please do not submit sensitive information that you would not want processed by the app's backend or AI provider.
Service providers
TiffTodo relies on:
- Supabase --- authentication, database storage, backend functions, and related infrastructure.
- Anthropic --- AI processing of submitted captures and research context.
- Apple --- app distribution, purchases, push notifications, and device features such as speech and microphone permissions.
These providers process data only as needed to operate the app.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications, TiffTodo may send a notification when your captured items finish processing after you leave the app. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. TiffTodo does not receive or store your full payment card information.
Data retention
TiffTodo keeps your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app's Settings screen. Deletion removes your app account data from TiffTodo systems, subject to backups, logs, legal obligations, and operational retention windows used by our service providers.
Children
TiffTodo is not intended for children under 13.
Security
TiffTodo uses standard HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and relies on Supabase security controls for account-scoped data storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
